Step 1: Access HubSpot Account
- Log in to your HubSpot account.
Step 2: Navigate to Social Monitoring Tool
- From the top navigation bar, hover over "Marketing".
- From the drop-down menu, select "Social".
Step 3: Access Social Monitoring Settings
- Within the social dashboard, locate and click on the "Monitoring" tab.
Step 4: Create a New Stream
- Click on the "Create Stream" button.
- A side panel will pop up, allowing you to specify the type of mentions you want to monitor.
Step 5: Specify Social Accounts
- Under "Which accounts do you want to monitor?", select the relevant social media accounts where you expect mentions.
Step 6: Set Up Mention Criteria
- Under "What do you want to monitor?", select "Brand Mentions".
- In the provided text box, input your brand name or other specific keywords related to your business.
Step 7: Adjust Advanced Settings (Optional)
- If you want to exclude specific words or set up additional criteria for the mentions, use the advanced settings to refine your stream's parameters.
Step 8: Set Up Notifications
- After defining the mention criteria, scroll to the "Notify Me" section.
- Choose the frequency of notifications (e.g., immediately, daily summary).
- Decide on the delivery method for the notifications, such as email or in-app notifications.
Step 9: Save and Activate Stream
- Click the "Save" or "Create Stream" button at the bottom of the side panel to activate monitoring for the specified mentions.
Step 10: Test the Setup
- It's a good practice to test your new settings:
- Mention your brand from a personal or other external social media account.
- Check if you receive a notification based on the criteria and settings you've specified.
