Step 1: Log into HubSpot
- Open your web browser and navigate to HubSpot's login page.
- Enter your credentials and log in to your HubSpot account.
Step 2: Access the Ads Tool
- From the main navigation menu, select "Marketing".
- Click on "Ads".
Step 3: Connect Your Ad Account (if not already done)
- On the top right corner, click "Account".
- Select "Connect account" and choose the ad platform you wish to connect (e.g., Google Ads, Facebook Ads).
- Follow the on-screen instructions to integrate your ad account.
Step 4: Create a New Audience
- Within the Ads tool, click on the "Audiences" tab.
- Click the "Create audience" button.
Step 5: Choose 'Website Visitors' Audience
- From the audience creation options, select "Website visitors".
Step 6: Define your Custom Audience
- Use the dropdown menus to define your audience based on their interaction with your website. Options might include:
- Visited specific URLs.
- Spent X amount of time on your site.
- Visited a specific number of pages.
- etc.
Step 7: Set Retargeting Duration
- Determine how long after their interaction you'd like to retarget these users (e.g., 30 days after visiting the website).
Step 8: Name Your Audience
- Give your custom audience a descriptive name to help you recognize it later. This is especially important if you plan to create multiple custom audiences.
Step 9: Save and Sync Your Audience
- Click the "Save" or "Create Audience" button.
- HubSpot will then sync this custom audience with your connected ad platform.
Step 10: Launch a Retargeting Campaign
- Once your custom audience is set up and synced, go to your ad platform (e.g., Facebook Ads Manager).
- Create a new ad campaign and choose your HubSpot custom audience as the target.
Step 11: Monitor Performance
- Regularly check back in HubSpot's Ad tool to monitor the performance of your ads targeting the custom audience.
- Adjust the criteria for your custom audience or the ads themselves based on performance metrics to optimize results.
